Giving Love to 2014

Diamonds and Emeralds II Detail copy

It's that time again! The end of the December, when everyone writes posts sharing all their highlights of the year.

You know, I always used to hate this time as a reader. I looked at what everyone had made, all their finishes, and my measly little year in review, and it just made me feel down. Just a stay at home mom, with little time to create, and not much to show - I paled in comparison to all of these wonderful bloggers.

While my life situation is very different now, and I have a lot of finishes to show, I really don't want to. I don't want to make anyone else feel bad, and I don't need you all to look at me and what I've done. I can see that for myself by looking back through my blog without writing a post about it.

Instead, I want to look at those around me and what they've done. I want to acknowledge those who have inspired me the past year, and beyond. Rather than looking at my own accomplishments, I'd like to shine light on others' accomplishments (in no particular order). I'd like to invite you to do the same - if you're game, grab the button below, link up below, and take some time to reflect upon and credit those who have inspired you.

1. Molli Sparkles - You've shown me what it means to share my projects while including my voice. There's nothing more awesome than being authentic.

2. Amy @ During Quiet Time - Your work inspires me to the core. Your quilts and designs are unique and leave me breathless.

3. Sarah @ {no} hats in the house - I'm drawn by your commitment to make things that are complex and beautiful. I hope my collection of works can one day be as impressive as yours.

4. Charlotte @ Displacement Activity - As always, your projects continue to speak to my heart in a way I can't put into words.

5. Elise @ Lovelea Designs - I'm struck by your talent and grasp of color, and I so value your opinions and insight. Never stop creating.

6. Angela @ Quilting is my Therapy - I've only gotten where I am with my quilting because of you and your classes, and I cannot thank you enough for that.

7. Chelsea @ Patch the Giraffe - Your positivity and drive to create is infectious and you help me recharge whenever I'm down.

8. Rachel @ Stitched in Color - You were one of the first bloggers I ever followed, and the joy you show in your work and writing sparks a joy within me.

9. And of course, all of you, my awesome readers. If you've commented multiple times, I recognize your name :). I love interacting with you guys - showing my progress on projects, my thought process, my successes and failures, and also sharing all sorts of patterns and tutorials. I can't wait to see what 2015 brings!
