WIP Wed: Plaid Flannel Baby Quilt

As part of my birthday happenings, I went to the quilt store and bought some fun plaid flannels I've been eying for quite awhile for a baby boy quilt.

So I endured prewashing and pressing (since it's flannel, which shrinks more, it was necessary!)...

And cut...which sent me into a few fits of rage, since the woman at the quilt shop tore the fabrics but didn't give any extra fabric to allow for the damage that tearing causes...

This meant I was almost an inch shy of the gray fabric. SO MAD! But I was able to make a few quick changes.

I put together some blocks...

The top is now pieced and I was going to quilt it tonight...but my husband made some brownies, and I thought it would be complemented by a candy cane martini...yeah, quilting might not happen now :)
