Playing with fabric

Whew, I'm exhausted! I've been doing a number of projects for publication recently and haven't been able to share anything - but this week, all of that got packed up. I'm 34 weeks pregnant and ready for a break! So I worked on sorting through all my scraps from the projects and restoring some order to my very messy sewing area.

It was nice to look through a lot of fabrics I've been working with recently, all while spending some quiet time with my boys (ages 1 and 2). They were monsters this weekend, so it was awesome to finally have some of those happier parenting moments.

Of course, my oldest saw all the bags and requested to "play fabric?", so I gave them a bag of scraps.

They didn't waste any time :)

I can't wait to get back to the usual ebb and flow of sewing for-fun projects - which also means I can share with you! I have a few things published already that I haven't had the time to write about yet, so I'll work on those posts tonight and can't wait to share. Here's a little sneak peek:
