Ceiling Tiles: A Finished Quilt from Paper Pieced Modern

So, Amy is stuck at a quilting retreat with shotty/non-existent Internet...meaning she is making me, her husband, put this post together real quick.  Basically, you should hop on over the Amy Friend's blog, During Quiet Time, to see the last quilt reveal and an interview of Amy.  The last quilt is called Ceiling Tiles and here are some photos:

And a couple close ups of the quilting:

This quilt is one of my favorites in the book after Icy Waters and maybe Faceted Jewels II or The Bachelor.  It was also the last quilt that Amy worked on, if I remember correctly.  Of course, as you see above, she used some of her metallic thread (which is obsessed with) to quilt it and the last day/hour before having to ship the quilts off to the publisher she had to add more quilting.  She seemed much more satisfied with the look the added quilting gives.  The last minute  quilting paid off as it does add a great effect to Ceiling Tiles.  This quilt was also accepted into QuiltCon, so if you are going, look out for it there.

Again, hop on over to Amy's blog,  During Quiet Time, for more photos, an interview with Amy, and a give-way.

Amy will be back tomorrow with the Book Tour round-up post.
