Chevron Baby Quilt

Remember these fabrics? I had been eying them for awhile and finally picked them up on my birthday. Well, they turned into this guy:

I made this zig zag baby quilt using Amanda Jean's method, found here.

I made this quilt for a friend of mine whose baby is in and out of the hospital. Hospitals can be such dreary places to be in, so I thought she deserved this little bit of cheer. Poor guy...what a trooper!
Not to mention, doctors always want babies naked, and they get cold quickly! So I made this the warmest, fluffiest blanket possible by using all flannels and high loft batting. It's so soft and puffy!

I kept the quilting minimal with some zig zag green lines in the gray chevrons.

My favorite fabric in the whole quilt is actually the backing - a very vibrant blue plaid. Love!

Your thoughts and prayers are appreciated for baby Andrew!
